The long i sound
How the long i sound looks and how it is made:
The tongue begins in a low-back position in the mouth, and moves to a mid-high front position. The jaw, is open but moves to a more closed position with this sound. The lips make no movement, and have an open relaxed posture, and only move when the jaw moves to slightly closed position. The feeling with this sound is in the low- back position of the tongue as it moves to a mid-high position, as if undulating, and that the jaw is lower to begin with and moves to nearly close.
